    Hey you! First of all, thanks for buying from The Basic Page! You deserve all the love! And I hope you really enjoy your new template! This is a guide with the instructions to install your template. Feel free to contact me if you have any doubt or problem during the installation. I will be glad to help you!
    So, here we go!
    1. Go to the TEMPLATE section of your blog.
    2. Find the BACKUP/RESTORE button and click on it.
    3. Save a copy of your current template.
    4. Find your new template file.
    5. Upload it.
    6. If your blog looks messy after uploading the new template, go to the LAYOUT section and rearrange your gadgets.
    As you may have noticed, there are some social icons on the top bar of your blog. Now you will learn how to make them redirect to your own links when clicked. Available icons:
    Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Youtube, Google+, Bloglovin', Email & RSS feed.
    1. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    2. Find the social icons gadget and click on edit.
    3. Copy the following code.
    4. Paste what you have previously copied on the CONTENT area.
    5. Now it is time to decide which icons you want to use. For each of them you decide to keep, replace what is highlighted with your own link.
    Notice it will not appear highlighted to you. But keep in mind to change what is inside href='LINK'
    For example:
    If you want to use the Facebook icon, select FACEBOOKLINK between the quotation marks...
    ...and replace it with your own link. Like this:
    Do the same for all the icons you want to use.

    ATTENTION:
    - always put http:// before the links otherwise they will not work.
    - make sure to keep the links between the quotation marks.
    When it comes to the icons you do NOT want to use, you just have to delete them. Each icon on the HTML language starts with <a and ends at </a>. So for each icon you decide to delete, you need to find its whole tag and erase it.
    For example:
    If you do not want to use the Facebook icon, select its whole tag...
    ...and delete it.
    6. After changing the social icons the way you want to, save the changes by clicking on the save button.
    This gadget is the one that allows you to put links on the top bar.
    1. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    2. Find the Pages gadget and click on edit.
    3. Now you decide which links you want to show on the top bar of your blog.
    If you do not want to show any, just uncheck all the links and click on the save button.
    If you want to show links that aren't static pages on your blog, click on + Add external link.
    On PAGE TITLE you put the name you want to give to the link (which will appear on the top bar). And on WEB ADDRESS (URL) you put the link address. Click on SAVE LINK when you are done. You can add more links by repeating the same process.
    If you want to show a link to a page you have created on Blogger itself, it is easier: just select the page(s) you want to show on the top bar.
    Click on SAVE when you are done with the page list gadget. And attention with the number of links you decide to show. If it is too many, your blog design may look messy in some windows sizes.
    The Labels gadget is the one that shows the labels you tag your posts with.
    1. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    2. Find the Categories gadget and click on edit.
    3. Choose the LIST type of display.
    You can change the title, the labels to be shown and the sorting.
    4. Save the gadget.
    The Archive gadget is the one that shows your blog posts history.
    1. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    2. Find the Archive gadget and click on edit.
    3. Select the FLAT LIST style. NOT Drop-dowm Menu. If you select the drop-dowm menu style, the gadget won't work. Change the title and date format according to you.
    4. Save the gadget.
    In order to make the Instagram gadget work, you will need to get your Instagram id and your access token. How to:

    1. Go to instagram.com and log in into your account.
    2. Now click HERE to authorize the app.
    3. After authorizing the app copy your access token.
    The full code is your access token and the first part before the . is your id.
    You will need both of them soon.
    4. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    5. Find the Instagram gadget and click on edit.
    6. Copy the following code.
    7. Paste what you have previously copied on the CONTENT area of the gadget.
    8. Replace YOURinstagramIDhere with your id (1st part of your access token).
    9. And replace YOURinstagramAThere with your access token.
    10. Save the gadget.
    Make sure to keep the accessToken between the quotation marks and do not remove the comma after the userId.
    1. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    2. Find the Follow gadget and click on edit.
    3. Click on the save button.
    1. Go to the LAYOUT section of your blog.
    2. Find the Blog Posts gadget and click on edit.
    3. Choose to "show share buttons".
    4. Save the gadget.
    1. Go to the SETTINGS section.
    2. Click on POSTS AND COMMENTS.
    3. Set your blog to show at most 5 posts on the main page. If you use another number of posts, your blog won't work properly and some of your posts will not appear.
    4. Save the settings.
    1. Go to the TEMPLATE section.
    2. Click on the icon below MOBILE to edit.
    3. Choose the "no" option.
    4. Click to save it.
